Hey folks this is Tom Vassil and I know I said there would be no episode this week but we're going to do something different today.

This is another podcast that's starting but they did an episode on the Jack Vass Memorial Fund and so I thought

that that was important and I they asked if I could err it on this feed and I want to now

I want to give you guys a couple of heads up.

First of all I'm incredibly uncomfortable with the very nice words that were said in this and I don't mean to put it up to praise me and so I apologize ahead of time for that but I think it's important that this story be told.

But secondly, this is a heavy thing we're going to be talking about you know the Jack Vass Memorial Fund and why it started and things so just keep that in mind if you have kids

around but and I'm this I hope I hope that even though the some of the things in this can sound

depressing that the end result is good and this really affected me just to listen to this

so I hope it's the same for you so without

further ado let's get to the podcast. The board game hobby exudes many things

social interaction, artistic creativity, and probably most important,

the enjoyment of play.

But there's another characteristic that's becoming more connected to our hobby, and that is our ability to step up in moments when a fellow board gamer needs a helping hand.

Tonight at the game table we celebrate the accomplishments of the Jack Fassal Memorial Fund and introduce

you to someone who is supported by the organization in her time of need.

There are many wonderful causes that this community immers itself in. But when it comes to this particular

foundation, we're all reminded of what a blessing it is to see the majority of us taking

proactive measures in supporting those within the tribe.

And when you think about just how far we will go to take care of each other, one might say

that being a part of this community allows all of us to be something much more than just hobbyists.

So have a seat and relax as we take just a little time from playing

and put it into something that will remind us all of just how precious life can be.
