Amy here to do a quick update on Karen Reed jury deliberations.

And I figured I would do a separate stream and not take up Mike's show when we do a show later because I know not all of you care about

Karen Reed. So I really thought that we were going to have a verdict today. It really did.

So the jury sent three notes early this afternoon, probably like 1130.

And the notes were, okay, so hang on, let me back up.

Karen Reed has three charges.

The first charge is murder, second degree murder, which is absolutely insane.

The second charge is manslaughter.

And the third charge is leaving the scene of an accident causing death.

So the first and the third counts, they have to have actual knowledge that she committed.

So she has to know that she did it. She has to know that

she murdered him. She has to know that she hit him and left the scene. The second one is manslaughter.

You don't have to know that you committed the crime. But what's also interesting in the manslaughter

count under count number two, and I'm way simplifying it,

but there's five lesser charges.

So if you don't find her guilty on the top charge, which is manslaughter, you go down to the next charge.

And if you don't find her guilty on that one, you go down to the next charge and the next charge until you get to the very, very bottom charge, which is a DUI, basically. I think it's OWI out in Massachusetts,

but for us Michigan people, it's basically a DUI. So that's under the manslaughter umbrella,

she could just get flat out DUI. Okay, so those are the three charges. So the jury comes in this morning,
