When it comes to the photographs of politicians, entertainers, and celebrities, it used to be that the photographers behind those images were relegated to anonymity.

Yes, they would get a byline, but it was rare that these photographers achieved any sense of name recognition.

However, over the last several decades, photographers have gained

their own notoriety that goes beyond simply being known by other photographers. When you think

of a celebrity photographer, there are likely a couple of names that come to mind. And whoever

that is for you, you likely find yourself thinking of some of their iconic imagery.

When I think of photographer Chris Buck, I think of his photographs of Steve Martin, Billy Bob Thornton, and President Obama.

But Buck deserves attention for more than his celebrity photographs, but also for his range of personal projects, and being able to achieve continued success in an ever-changing industry.
