Anna Gunn is co-director of McGunnMedia, a photography and multimedia company based in Maia, Portugal. Born in Birmingham, UK, Anna moved to Portugal in 2009 and has been enjoying the sunny weather ever since. Anna teaches photography, film, as well as lighting and sound. Her online classrooms are currently filled with over 900 students. Last year she ran Porto Photography Experiences to a group of international photographers visiting Porto. Anna is also organizing the first Porto Photography Festival which will be held in September 2017. She is bringing world class photographers and teachers to Porto including National Geographic Photographer John Stanmeyer. I'm sure that every single one of them had an excuse as to why they might not succeed,

but that didn't stop them. They may not have felt ready or confident, or maybe they felt they didn't even know what the hell they were doing.

A lot of people describe luck or talent as the sole reason why many photographers have achieved what they have.

I like to think that these people chose not to believe the lies that came in the form of excuses.

They were trying to convince them that those dreams were not meant for them, but for someone
