When it comes to sports photography, the challenge for the photographer is trying to capture the pinnacle of human physicality.

Often from the sidelines and with a long telephoto lens, photographers are photographing

people who are testing their bodies to the limit.

But what happens when the only way to get the shot is to get in closer and push your

own body to near exertion?

That's the world of Lucia Grigi, who is one of the world's best

adventure and lifestyle photographers who specializes in surf photography. Her fantastic

photographs often call on her to put in as much physical effort as the men and women. She photographs.

Well, Lucia, welcome to the candor frame. It's a real pleasure to have you. Oh, thank you. Thank you for inviting me. In researching you, I saw that you

began your life in the water, for lack of a better term, when you were younger, when you were in school, you were competing as a swimmer. How did you get involved in the water, for lack of a better term, when you were younger, when you were in school,

you were competing as a swimmer? How did you get involved in that sport? Well, I was brought up

between England and Italy, and I was always very much invested in music and also sport. So in my youth,

I was always part of classical music. I grew up with that, with the piano and the

flute. And then on the other side of things, I was very active and became very involved in swimming.
