Greatly honored today to be joined by Father Paul Kramer live from Ireland.

Father Kramer, thanks for joining us today.

And this is Theology and Current Events, TCE, number 46, Father Paul Kramer. Father Paul Kramer is an Irish-American native of Bristol,

Connecticut, who studied philosophy and theology in Rome at the Pontifical University of St. Thomas

Aquinas during the 1970s and was ordained to the priesthood in 1980. After that, he served as a missionary

priest in Germany,

Philippines, Canada, Italy, Brazil, India, Ireland, Portugal, Spain, and England. Father Kramer is

currently retired and is living in Ireland. He was a close collaborator with Father Nicholas

Gruner from 1986 until his untimely death in April of 2015. It was at the request of Father Gruner that

Father Kramer wrote one of his recent books, To Deceive the Elect. Father Kramer is the greatest

priestly expert on Fatima alive today, at least among those whom I can name before our first

electronic meeting today, for which I'm very

thankful. Father Kramer, I know this is a little bit below your pay grade, as I said, probably

the worldwide expert on Fatima, but we do have some non-Catholics listening and some Catholics who have a little bit of a history amnesia.

Could you tell us the basics of what happened in 1917 in Portugal with Our Lady and those three shepherd children?

Well, the children were with tending their sheep, and they were, so they're out in the farmland,

the pasture.

And even before Our Lady came, an angel appeared to them, to pair them for the, for the visit of our lady.

And then in May, on May the 13th, our lady made her first visit.

And she announced that she would be coming on successive, on the 13th of the successive months.
