This is Father David Nix on the Padre Paragrinos podcast, and how are you doing, Emily?

I'm good, Father. Thanks for having me on.

Great to have you on this. I want to give Emily's CV right here. And if we do future

podcasts with her, I'm going to send people back to listen to this

one. So the future ones will not be quite this long, but I do want you guys to know what a special

guest we have. Captain Rainey was an Army Brett, oldest of seven, six girls and one boy. She graduated

University of Scranton, a Jesuit university like where I graduated from in 2012 with a BA and philosophy. She was an

U.S. Army officer, including being an intelligence officer from October 2012 to November 2015.

She was on the cultural support team leader in support of U.S. Army Special Operations Command.

She was deployed to Afghanistan from March of 2013 to December of 2013.

This included dozens of helicopter infill night raids while assigned to the 75th Ranger

Regiment. She was a student at the John F. Kennedy Special Warfare School, including

psychological operations, sci-op qualifications course from November of 2015 to April of 2017.

She was a sci-op officer for the Army, June of 2017 to June of 2020.

She had top secret clearance for 10 years. We'll talk later why that was revoked.

Distinguished military graduate also received a bronze star medal, Army Commendation Medal

with two oak leaves. She received the Army achievement with three oak leaves, military

outstanding volunteer service medal, combat action badge, parachutist badge, valedictorian

of the Special Operations Captain's career course. And now she's a mother getting a farm going.
