Summary

Professional Bodybuilder and 6 time Mr. Olympia winner Dorian Yates sat down with London Real in January 2013 to discuss how his "High Intensity Training" techniques changed the sport, the specifics of his steroid use and its effects, how he psychologically reinvented himself after his abrupt retirement in 1997, and his thoughts on conspiracy theories, psychedelics, and cannabis.

If you got the 27 guys on stage, I mean will the best guy ultimately win or

0:05.2

placing the top three? You know, who is the best guy? It is a matter of opinion right

0:09.9

because it's subjective is you have seven people judging there and what they'll do is

0:16.9

they have seven scores and then eliminate the highest and the lowest so you end up with

0:20.6

five scores from five people and we have a criteria you know for

0:28.7

the judging process that you know it's body building so you're looking for obviously looking for

0:33.8

muscle mass but the muscle mass should be proportionate so it should be

1:25.5

I remember a couple of contests when I was professional at first. I was walking around backstage and you know backstage is so wooden floor like this right?

1:31.0

And I like literally my feet were really hurting me and I was limping and people like you okay dude you're you cramping up for something you dehydrated

1:38.2

I'm like no my fucking feet are killing me and I couldn't understand why my feet were really hurting me until I, you know, I looked in

1:45.2

an attribute and I saw there's a fat pad under the heel and under a ball of your feet there's

1:50.2

a fat, a pad there like, you know, cushioning and I guess I you know my body fat was that low that this

1:56.6

Had of fat on my feet was actually getting depleted same is that

2:00.5

It's so dangerously low levels aren't there? I mean yeah, I mean a it's a temporary thing though
