Today's episode was originally published on November 1, 2016 and I wanted to play it

now because our next episode will be talking about the many trials and tribulations of

yours and everyone's favorite president, Donald John Trump.

This throwback episode specifically deals with trying to understand why so many felt such

a strong connection to Trump, which unfortunately seven years later is just as important to

understand now as it was then.

Even after multiple unprecedented criminal indictments with presumably more to come, Trump

is still the favorite to win the Republican nomination for the 2024 presidential campaign.

Going back and listening to this episode from 2016, just before Election Day, I was struck

by just how many of the reasons given for support of Trump then have either remained the

same or gotten worse.
