Taylor Swift, the Aera's tour, is in theaters now.

It is the first concert film to make over $100 million at the the box office and it's inspiring sing-alongs

and more in theaters across the world.

Apparently theaters are cranking the volume to the extent that people are hearing love story in quiet moments while they're watching

killers of the flower moon. But anyway, there's a lot to talk about with this movie, so I brought in

Brittany Spanos and Rob Sheffield for a deep dive. It's weird because there's an almost total informational blackout on this movie.

Sam Wrench, the director, has not done any interviews.

Obviously, Taylor hasn't done any interviews, so we don't know much about the making of and the no

doubt breakneck editing process and how many cameras they used and all the usual stuff.

I think it's fair to say.

I don't know what you two think, but,

so Sam Wrench is the director,

and he's very experienced with concert films,

and he's done commercials.

He's not in a tour.

He's not Jonathan Demi or anything,

but he's a very professional modern director who knows how to

capture these big spectacles. Return of the Jedi the director was Richard Markand also

a TV director and is a very competent sort of workman like director. But George

Lucas was right there whispering in his ear and I kind of wondered to what

extent Taylor Swift was ghost directing on some level with all the stuff she told him about the movie
