0:31.7	You know, I've been covering the human impact of technology for 15 years, and I'm here today to talk about what I truly believe is one of the most profound risks with the recent rise in artificial intelligence.
0:43.7	And that is non-consensual sexually explicit deepfakes
0:47.2	that are generated by AI.
0:49.1	This is also commonly referred to as deep fake pornography.
0:53.0	These are AI-generated images and videos of real people,
0:56.6	and an overwhelming majority of those people are women.
1:00.3	According to the Cyber Civil Rights Initiative,
1:02.3	one in 12 adults on social media have been victims of non-consensual pornography.
1:07.5	And that was before AI came along.
1:10.7	Yet, for some reason, we have a hard time talking about this.
1:14.4	Deep fake pornography receives far less attention than other risks like
1:19.1	disinformation or plagiarism or cyber attacks. But the impact is extraordinary.
