Lorenz was previously with the New York Times.

She recently joined the Washington Post, covering internet culture, creators, the TikTokers,

and the YouTubers who are reinventing and reinventing media.

Now, I've known Lorenz a long time.

I have seen how she has become increasingly controversial due to some of her stories

and some of her comments.

And I think in some ways this week might have been the most dramatic story for Lorenz yet.

Her article titled Meet the Woman Behind Lives of TikTok, secretly fueling the right's

outrage machine instantly became the most red article on the Washington Post website

when it was published on Tuesday.
