and the Republicans lost bigly as well. 8444-542. So part of the poll question today is, you know,

what contributed to the losses last night? And we've got collars on the line that says, you know,

these were expected losses for

the Republicans. We expected the Democrats to win most of these races, if not all of them. That may

be true, but, and Joe, I'll take your call in just a second here, but I just want to lay some

stuff out for you. This is Josh Holmes. He runs a podcast called Ruthless, Big podcast, and he was on Fox, and he wonders if these races would have been closer had the Democrats not weaponized the economy through a government shutdown as they have been doing and they are still doing.

And, you know, Trump said it will get to this cut as well

um as as one of his reasons for ending the fiddlestor um you know i've i've heard over and over

that this shutdown is one day away from ending but this is josh holmes ruthless podcast on fox

earlier today cut six it's almost impossible for Democrats to lose two blue

states when they're out of power unless, unless there is no motivation by the electorate. And so

that's where these two issues are tied. The whole, we've been talking about this on Ruthless for a

better part of a month about how the motivation of the government shutdown was to try to fuel anxiety with government workers in northern Virginia. And you know what? It worked. It's an incredibly cynical strategy. It's one that you wish that a political party wouldn't do to play games with the lives of people across the country in order to get a little bit of an edge in an election. But that did happen. And there's no question.

That's why those two things are linked. So that could have been a contributing factor. These

races may have been closer. Hell, they may have had different outcomes had the Democrats not

weaponized the shutdown the way that they have and continue to do. And here is Trump, who is

talking about, you know, we hear about the end of it.

This is cut one.

So as you know, we are in the midst of a disastrous Democrat-created government shut down,

and it is Democrat-created, but I don't think they're getting really the blame that they should.
