daycare? But what have been the downsides, and there are a lot of them, of daycare? And how has

the fraud that apparently is taking place in the state of Minnesota regarding taxpayer funding

for daycare and child care brought to light and given an opportunity to expose

some of the harms apart from the fiscal harms that this system has done. Welcome back to Issues,

Tell us about the scope of this daycare fraud in Minnesota.

Well, it's really shocking.

The U.S. Attorney General up there who is investigating

what's going on said in a recent press conference that at least half of the money that the state

has recently spent on daycares is likely to be fraudulent. He's not yet sure they're still

investigating how much more than half it is, but that

half number would come to a total of $9 billion, I believe, a year. So we're talking in the

billions, and again, the majority, or at least, you know, nearly a majority of all of the money
