Whether you should take income this year or next year, I would highly recommend you take

income whenever it's coming, but some people recommend deferring it and I am not an accountant

but I would highly recommend you take money

as the money is available,

because I've seen it almost every single time.

Everybody who defers their income finds that that income is not available.
