Hello everyone. My name is Peter and I welcome you to the PWC podcast series,

Taxbytes. Today we're going to talk about tax disputes and dispute resolution. This is a podcast

in a series of podcasts that I'm recording with Veronique de Brabantter.

Veronique, part of our PWC legal team, is an expert in tax disputes and dispute resolutions.

So she has experience with clients.

More and more questions are coming in regarding tax audits, the development in tax audits, the procedures.

And so together with Veronique, I decided to record a special number of podcast editions around this topic.

So, Vironique, welcome again to the podcast. For today, we want to talk about data, data requests,

the challenges that come with it, how to prepare for an audit if you need

to deliver certain data. And for that, we invited two additional experts in our team,

Stefan de Wachter. He is end-to-end involved with clients and the challenges they have around

data.

He's assisting clients from preparing financial statements, tax filings and so on

until the fact that sometimes tax information is required to be delivered to the authorities upon an audit and so on.

So he really is end-to-end involved in that process and I'm looking forward

to have your views, Stefan, on this. And next to that, Jill, Jill is an expert in VAT

and he is often involved with clients, again, involved with tax audits, VAT, audits and so on,

and is very well aware of the challenges that clients may have to deliver

certain information. So today will be all about the information and audits. And yeah, just to kick

it off, maybe Stefan, I would start with you. And with the question, yeah, tax audits are becoming

much and more complex in terms of

information requests.
