President Trump is trying to limit the impact the new coronavirus is having on the economy

after one of the worst days on Wall Street since the 2008 recession.

But he needs Congress to approve his idea first.

Today Trump is expected to go to Capitol Hill to work with lawmakers on this new plan. There aren't a lot of details just yet,

but so far, he said it includes tax cuts

and other quick measures.

He's taking action now because yesterday American stocks

made history, and not in a good way.

The Dow fell another 2,000 points.

That was the worst single day drop since October 2008.

And there are fears another recession could be on the way.
