It is a Monday,

December 23rd. We have made it to week 17. The Lions will face the Green Bay Packers on Sunday

in the season finale. Of course, Detroit has lost eight in a row and 11 of their last 12 to sit at 3.11 and 1 with one more to go.

Thank goodness this thing is almost done.

But I'm telling you one thing. I am fired up today on a Monday to talk positively about your

Detroit lines. No negativity today. Ah, I am fired up to be positive about our Detroit Leo's today.

And we will do that in discussing the Jalani Tavai season-ending shoulder injury,

but tell you why Jalani Tavai is a keeper and is somebody who I think can do a nice job

for the Lions in the future, and I would put him at middle linebacker ahead of Jared Davis.

We'll discuss that coming up momentarily.

I'm going to tell you why the Detroit Lions may be in better shape than the Chicago Bears.

I was on a text chain today with former Bears sideline reporter and the score of 670s Zach Zademan,

who texted me today and said, I'd rather be the Lions and the Bears.

And I went, wait a minute, I got to hear about this.

Also, the Lions have a 53-man roster, as you all know.

I looked it up today, and I know we're going into week 17.

I wish I could break down the next game and the Packers and everything else.

They're playing tonight against the Vikings.
