Jensen and I just got back from uh puerto bianza we took the kids to Mexico for spring break and it was really fun and enjoyable I feel comfortable now that I've had a good vacation with them saying,

Yeah, it's hard. It's a journey. It is not a vacation. It is just a trip to a new,

it's a new location without any of the comforts of health and you are trying to make

family. I was going to say that's the key. You cannot travel with just your family. Smart.

1:24.5

Because then you have other kids, other parents, and, like, the responsibility gets, like,

1:28.4

sort of offloaded and, like, separate.

1:45.1

Yes, it's so much fun. Like, I highly recommend, like, I mean, I'm sure you guys were at a hotel, but, like, you going on vacations where you all get a house together, like, with other families, is so much fun. because then it's like all the kids are like in the living room hanging out and all the parents are able to like go hang out in the kitchen and talk. You're still doing stuff, but you're all like dispersing the responsibilities of child care. It's so much fun. Yeah, which is kind of what we did even at the hotel. I can definitely see how at a home it's even easier. But like there were, you know, there was one day where all the moms went and got massages and the dads did, had kid duty while they all played in the pool. It's the best. And then it was like, okay, now, you know, then the moms all came back and let the dads off for a couple of hours. And one thing we did that we next time realized, oh, this is what we should do. We did plan an adult only dinner and put the kids at the kids club. Yep. And then one by one, they just started picking us off. Like, this kid's crying. This kid fell. This kid. And then. Oh, you have to hold the line. You have to hold the line as parents. You all have to agree. Sounds like you're making a battle plan.

2:35.3

You do.

2:35.7

What we said was what we need to do next time is take couples dinners.

2:43.7

So tonight's mine and jens is night.

2:46.3

We're going to have a date night while the kids and the other adults are out.

2:49.6

Then tomorrow night it's a new adult couple's night.

2:52.2

And like the rest of us.

3:08.5

Oh, the kids center thing is such a, it's so, it happens all the time. You're like, you all agree like, oh, we'll just put all the kids in. And then it's like, well, but Jimmy doesn't want to go because Jimmy's dairy free and they're only serving. And you're like, you're the parent that's going to ruin this for all the rest.

3:08.5

And sure enough, once that one kid gets pulled up, then only serving. You're like, you're the parent that's going to ruin this for all the rest.
