| 0:00.0 | Alright, I just tweeted something about this whole riot situation. I was going to try not to comment, but I tweeted something that seemed to enraged people and get people upset. So I'm going to give a more detailed view on my analysis of the situation. |
| 0:22.0 | So just for the people who don't know me, I am mixed race, I'm half black and half white. I was born in America, about an American passport. I moved to England, and now I live in Romania, and Romania is a country with no black people. |
| 0:34.0 | So I have kind of like a diverse, unique view of racism, how it's viewed, et cetera, et cetera. |
| 0:40.0 | I was always considered a right-wing guy, my sister is super liberal, and I just want to explain how I view the riots and how I view the situation with the cops. |
| 0:51.0 | I want to start by saying that the cop was wrong, and that man, there was no need to put your knee on that man for eight minutes and 46 seconds, he was handcuffed on the ground. The cops should go to jail. |
| 1:02.0 | I also want to say that American police are completely out of control. They think they're in Iraq, they're completely out of control of these people, and they do need checking. |
| 1:11.0 | So I agree with the protests, and I agree something needs to be done. So let's start by saying that. |
| 1:17.0 | But I want to move on to why I believe this is happening, and my view on the whole racism argument that the police are inherently racist, and that as soon as you become a police officer, you become a racist, and you're racist, and you just hate black people, I don't think that's true. |
| 1:36.0 | What I think is happening is there is a pattern recognition element to humanity, which is being confused with racism. |
| 1:44.0 | So because I tweeted it, I'm going to go word for word with the tweet to make sure I don't, you know, no one gets confused and they can see. |
| 1:50.0 | So I made the first point, which is that the majority of racism is very subtle. |
| 1:56.0 | So the same person who will fear a black man at night, if he's walking down the road and she's a black guy who will be scared, it's the same guy who will see a black guy at work and be like, oh, hey, Tim, how are you? |
| 2:06.0 | So he may be subtly racist in certain situations, but when he interacts with black people, he's actually fine with black people. |
| 2:12.0 | It's just certain views he has, certain things about his view on risks to a safety or the possibility for crime, which is racist. |
| 2:23.0 | It's more racist, it's racist to think of black man's more likely to attack you than a white man. |
| 2:26.0 | If you said that, then everyone would say you're a racist. |
| 2:28.0 | He holds these views, but in general, he's quite nice to black people when he interacts with them. |
| 2:33.0 | So he's very subtly racist. |
| 2:35.0 | 99% of racist people are like this. Only 1% are overtly racist. |
| 2:41.0 | There's only 1% of those idiot red necks who are really like, I don't like none of them blacks. |
| 2:47.0 | These are complete dumb fucks. The majority of people are not like that. |
| 2:52.0 | So when we talk about racism and systematic racism and the police force being racist, the majority of people which would be deemed racist, if you treat them with respect, or normally, |
