So I have to start. The number one question on our board on the Old Miss Spirit that we've

talked about is why is someone from Woonsocket, Rhode Island in Oxford, Mississippi?

It really started my sophomore year.

We had New England meet and I threw over 60 for the first time as a

sophomore it was pretty big deal the best guy was at 64 so those are seniors hit that

throw and a lot of coaches kind of emailed my coach because they're not allowed to

me so even my coach and showed a lot of interest and by the junior year when it was time

for me to be able to get talked to

because John, well Dempsey was the first person to talk to me and yeah. A two-time Rhode Island

state champion. Tell me about growing up in Rhode Island and when you got into, you know,

track and field and winning those two state championships. Growing up in Rhode Island is um there's two streets. There's either, there's two ways. Either you're the guy who wants to start trouble or you're an athlete, and I chose to be in the athlete role. My parents always put me in sports up. Plenty of them. I played every sport you can think of, even swimming. So growing up there wasn't, it really wasn't too much. I've hang out my friends, we'll go play sports, we'll go train.

Everything was constant just sports because that's the only way we,

that's the only way we knew to get out the city and be able to, you know,

I've been find new experiences and be able to be at Oldness, you know.

It's always been the dream since a kid, because that's all we knew was sports growing up. And yeah, it's a nice place, nice place. So before we get to all of your accolades, I would like to ask Coach Connie Price-Smith. She's a four-time Olympian of the United States. Track and Field Hall of Fame. What's it been like playing under her? It's fun. It's definitely fun because you can definitely tell she's retired because she really doesn't like the junk talk and I do when I'm on the track. But when I watch her old videos and I see her ripping off her top, just angry because the girls are telling her she ain't the best when they're on their drug ever and she's the only clean one I take a lot of influence from

that even before I came here watching her videos like I knew when I I knew from the

first moment I met her it was gonna be fun because I know she has that dog

side or that side she loves competing and you only see that when we ain't
