So we were all excited on Friday because the Caps got a big win against

the Flyers who they're chasing in the division and then they gave it right back yesterday.

What's your kind of takeaway from the weekend?

Yeah, it felt like a bit of an emotional let down after you know that stirring come back against

the Flyers a team they were pursuing that game was really hyped up you know I

Spencer Carberry even said before the game yesterday he was worried a little bit about a let down and and those first 40 minutes last night were about as rough as his team has looked all year

uh... carbure did not hold back in his post-game comments

and, you know, the players themselves took full responsibility.

I mean, Anthony Mantis said it was terrible. You know, you don't normally hear

words like that coming from a player who just played a game, but he didn't bite his tongue either. He said, it was terrible, you know, given the circumstances, given the opponent, you know, Arizona had

lost 14 of its previous 15 games. I mean, they were in free fall mode. Here was a game you

absolutely had to win. This team has to beat every single team that's behind them in the standings, the rest of the way to give themselves a chance.

That was a golden opportunity to kind of keep the momentum moving forward and they laid an egg.

And you know, I think there were a lot of looks in that locker room after yesterday's game.
