1:23.2	A huge development, a very positive one, and not an easy one. It's a positive development because
1:32.1	the Department of Education is, in fact, antithetical to education. First of all, it should be
1:36.7	really clear that no one is educated in this so-called Department of Education. It is merely a
1:43.9	bureaucratic mechanism to advance bureaucracy,
1:47.5	to empower teachers' unions, and to protect the interests of the education class, not the
1:55.9	consumers, not the students, most certainly not the parents, and of course it is notorious for its bad results.
2:03.1	But even the bad results are a matter of complete indifference for the bureaucrats in the
2:08.0	Department of Education. Why? Because for them it's a job creation program. They're not
2:13.0	interested in the improved educational outcomes of students. They know that they are terrible. They make no
2:19.9	efforts to improve them. All that they do is keep demanding more and more money, and they've
2:25.0	been getting more and more money pretty much nonstop since the 1960s. And the results continue
2:31.5	to be bad. So instead of them thinking, how do we make the results
2:36.3	better, I think that the way that the bureaucrats reason is that we notice that when test
