We're back. Time for another edition of the Carolina Insider Jones and Adam here with you.

A special tar heel throwback edition in just moments.

We're going to be joined by Marcus Gignard and we'll head back

to a simpler time. January of 2008 as the number one ranked and undefeated Tar Heels

head to Little John for a memorable matchup with Clemson. Adam. This was an enjoyable rewatch and, boy,

a really good Tar Hill team that we had a lot of fun getting, A, a chance to watch him in

action again and then get some great insight from Markets Gignard to talk about it.

Is this the most recent throwback other than the Duke games?

Yeah, the Duke games.

But I think other than the Duke games, yes, I think it is the most recent one.

But it really felt like we were still going back in time once we saw the broadcast and some of

the other details related to it.

It seems like 2008 was just three, four years ago out.

In reality, it's almost 20 years ago, which is disappointing.

It is, but what was not disappointing was how good these two teams were.

Yeah.

I don't know that I remembered a ton about this game other than Wayne Ellington being awesome,

but seeing how good these two teams were really made it fun to watch again.

Yeah, certainly.

And of course, this game ends with one of the more memorable regular season shots of the last 25 years or so of Carolina basketball

with Wayne Ellington hitting the big three. But we'll get to
