Hello I'm Bex and welcome to the Week Junior show. Today I'm joined by two of the team from the Week Junior, the magazine making sense of the world for 8 to 14 year olds. We've got Deputy Editor Raul and Assistant Editor Flora.

In this episode we're going to be talking about the government's new plans for the country's money,

tap dancing frogs and the search for a Taylor Swift super-fan.

We'll also be finding out about a big debate, which is all to do with whether schools should have a plant-based meal day

No, I want to know who had pat lunches who had school dinners when you went to school. I've got to say in summer I had packed lunches in winter I had school dinners

school dinners the best one for me was a good old pie and it was like a sheet pie it was like

the biggest pie you've ever seen in the world with an ice cream scoop worth of mashed potato on the side that was my

perfect school dinner. Flora how about you what did you have? I had school dinners as well mostly and I think there's something about school dinners like the

kind of the grosser it is the nicer it is in a funny way and I remember this

chocolate sponge that was just so obviously like not even any natural ingredients probably all the

e-numbers and like I don't know what with this custard that sat on top of it that

always had a skin on the top that you had to sort of pierce through and it was so disgusting that it was just so

delicious. There's something quite comforting about that kind of food you look back at it and like, yeah, you know know what I could go for a chocolate sponge again

absolutely how about you rule?

I give your idea of it with me neither with skin on top. Yeah I was school dinners and

pack lunches but yeah definitely enjoyed the school dinners more and yeah my

abiding memory of school dinners is with my go-to combo of a sausage roll, chips and beans.

I have to confess that I'm a veggie now, so something I can't enjoy anymore.

And also just seem to remember trying to hustle the dinner

ladies and the dinner men for more chips. That was the name of the game.

Of course it is getting a few more fries on that plate. Why wouldn't you try your best to do that?
