All right, we are back.

The one week per year that I do not record is in the rearview mirror. And usually we have some news coming back from the all-star break of just who's going actually be playing. Some guys will return because we're always like, oh, he's out for three weeks. That's going to be through the all-star break for sure. And we do have some of those. We do have some guys who are going to be out longer than might have been expected as well.

But a lot of news happened over this time when we weren't recording.

And I think where we need to begin, Danny, is with the omnipresent issue of tanking.

It is notable that the NBA is at least appearing. We don't have any any, I mean,

we have the fines, which we'll talk about, but the NBA seems to be more serious about a

potential response here, whether that is motivated by some pressure from some of their

gambling partners, because some of the measures that have been taken this year are hard for

them or whatever.

Like this could lead them to the right direction.

And we have some more, you know, nothing definitive in terms of announcements, but some more

definitive reporting that.

So Commissioner Silver told general managers on Thursday that the league plans to make

rule changes to curb tanking ahead of

next season, the 26, 27 season. And there are a number of different proposals that are on the table,

some of which are proposals you and I have advocated for. Yeah. Well, let's get to those momentarily.

I think the biggest thing was these fines that came down right beforehand, just as we talked

about it chronologically, 500K for the Utah Jazz, 100K for the Pacers.

This was the reasoning for the fine for the jazz.

Conduct detrimental to the league related to the team's games against the Orlando Magic on February

7th and the Miami Heat on February 9th. During those games, the Jazz removed two of the team's

top players, Larry Markinen and Jaron Jackson Jr., before the beginning in the fourth quarter,
