The red thread is this idiom from Nordic languages,

generally in general, Northern Europe,

to talk about the theme, the big idea of something.

And it's origin story, which I think we talked about last time,

was very similar to the process

that I was leading people through to do this decoding.

And so I look back at it.

To me, when you look back, the past is a straight line.

It all makes perfect sense to me, though there was no way

at all that I could have predicted that this is where

I would have ended up, or what I would have ended up doing,

or even creating.

But it makes perfect sense as I look back on it,

because I created the thing that I wish I had 35 years ago.
