Let's go along with your host, James Rupin, and your former host, Joe Goodberry,

three J's coming together to talk about a relatively uneventful day for the Cincinnati Bengals

on day one of free agency or perhaps eventful in the wrong ways.

Let's get started with the things that are

disappointing, I think, to Bengals fans. Carl Lawson is still a free agent. Joe Tunney signs for a

market resetting deal for guards, a five-year deal worth up to over $80 million. The first three

years effectively guaranteed earnings of, you know, in the middle 40s,

he goes to the Chiefs, a chance to play with Patrick Holmes and Andy Reid.

Honestly, you know, we saw from his sister that the Bengals supposedly low-bottom,

but you have no idea what that means, quite frankly.

Could be that they offered him $13, $14 million and it just wasn't as much as he was getting

offered from other teams.

But even if the Bengals offered him a similar deal to the Chiefs, I think Toon, he's picking

the Chiefs.

Still, a disappointment to be sure that the Chiefs, the Super Bowl champions make the investment

where they need it on the offensive line.

They bring in Joe Tuny to protect their guy after they had problems protecting him in the Super Bowl.

And so far, the Bengals, as we record this at 6.10 p.m. on Monday afternoon, haven't made a move.
