| 0:00.0 | Hello and welcome to another episode of straight out to Cobham, the Chelsea FC focus podcast from The Athletic. |
| 0:22.2 | Each week we bring you the latest blues news, reviews and previews. On today's episode, we're |
| 0:26.8 | looking back on a comfortable home win against moderate opposition. Seriously we are. We'll also |
| 0:31.1 | examine Andreas Christensen, metaphorically. We'll look ahead to Newcastle, answer your questions, |
| 0:36.3 | and reveal our latest cult hero. All that and a little bit more in this episode of Straight Out of Cobham. Yes, hello again, listener. Nice to have your company. I'm Matt Davis Adams. Each and every week, me and my pals get together to talk about Chelsea. It's ever so much fun. Simon Johnson has been given another week to get back to full fitness. So with me today are Liam Toomey and Dom Fyfield. Welcome to you both. Thanks for having us. Unconfirmed as to whether it's a muscle injury. We don't quite know what's wrong with it. Schedules. Schedules. Look at the schedules. Plenty to come on today's show, but we'll start with Burnley being bossed at the bridge. So it finished Chelsea 3, Burnley-Nill on Saturday. |
| 1:12.5 | Georgineo, brackets P, closed brackets, Abraham and Hudson-Adoi with the goals. |

| 1:17.6 | Was it as comfortable as the scoreline suggests? |
| 1:20.4 | Well, there were moments when it could have gone a very different way. |
| 1:24.1 | I mean, you had the Burnley set-piece goal, which was initially flagged offside, but was probably |
| 1:28.9 | millimeters away from getting overruled by VAR. |
| 1:32.9 | And then you had Ross Barkley clearing a header off the line as well. |
| 1:36.2 | So there were a couple of moments where it could have become another one of those home games. |
| 1:40.7 | And Burnley set up very similarly to West Ham, Bournemouth, Southampton, same |
| 1:46.1 | sort of game plan, defending deep, giving Chelsea the wings. The difference for me was that |
| 1:51.1 | Reese James was playing and that particularly down the right hand side, Callum Hudson-Adoi and |
| 1:56.9 | Reese James really ripped Burnley to shreds and you actually had a level of quality coming |
| 2:02.5 | on the deliveries that Chelsea haven't had in recent home games and in the end I think that made |
| 2:07.8 | the difference and actually Dom that's a partnership we've not spoken about too much we saw it against |
| 2:12.6 | forest last week but there a lot of talk about Mount and Abraham in particular having played with |
| 2:16.8 | one another since they were children, |
| 2:18.8 | which was a year ago. |
