What an incredible story.

Nate Jones, former DB in the NFL for a long time turned official.

I got a chance to hang out with Nate at the broadcast and media workshop.

Very smart of him, by the way, to be looking ahead to that possibility, perhaps at some point in his career.

I mean, very smart.

And there's a lot going on with officiating right now.

If you guys have been paying attention, the NFL and the NFL RA, their referees association,

they are in negotiations. Their contract expires at the end of this month. The NFL has been

looking into perhaps replacement officials.

Now the latest report is that negotiations are progressing.

So I think we all want that. That's a good sign. Hopefully that continues.

Certainly, I've got some quarterback news to get to after we talk with Nate.
