And we are going to be talking prospects today. I've got my friend Jeff Ponce from Baseball America with me.

And Jeff is, you know, one of the guys who's been doing this as long as I have.

And we've seen a lot of great number one overall prospects come through in these 10 plus years,

Connor Griffin certainly has the look of a true number one overall prospect.

So let's just start with Griffin.

You know, based on everything you've heard, based on everything you've seen, do you think

he's making the team?

So there's like one point that I've constantly gone back to on Griffin.

And, you know, I think it's, you can look at the example of Paul Skeens.

And the way the pirates handled that in retrospect hurt them.

You know, they did not have him up early enough to qualify for PPI eligibility.

By pushing him down and getting that extra year of control, they actually lost it because of PPI because of

the Sigh Young, him winning Sigh Young last season. So I think when you look at a player that's

this high end, you know, as Skeens was as high end as we've seen in terms of a pitching

prospect in quite some time, right? It's the same thing with Connor

Griffin on the position side. And I think if you sort of, you know, there's enough smart people

in that front office that they understand all these things. I don't think this is an organization,

you know, like the Rockies or someone along those lines, the angels where they're maybe making poor decisions from a baseball perspective.

I think they're limited in terms of the resources, the things that they can do,

probably access to certain players because of the market that they have and how much they spend.
