This week we welcome back to one and only Chris Knowles for something of a deep dive on the

latest and in all likelihood last ever season of the X-files. I'd been going over in my

head what my opinions of the final episode in particular were given that it was, you know,

the last ever episode and Chris had been cryptically

mentioning that despite the near consensus opinion that it is awful it's

actually really good and it's just that nobody knows what was in it or nobody

saw what he saw.

So he fell right into that trap and was forced to come back on the show to discuss it.

Along the way we also talk about X-files from a cultural significance perspective,

what it was trying to tell us from a creative and also

parapolitical angle angle and what the difference between these two recent

seasons and the originals might say about our world.

Wonderful to be here. Yes, yes, so I have many personal questions about X-files season 11 and I hope that will trigger some

sort of wider discussions on the X-files in general and so on on but I guess this kind of came about because I shared a couple of articles with you to do with the general negative impression of the final episode and for people listening we're about to

spoil the shit out of a lot of stuff obviously yeah this is going to be a spoiler frenzy

this is going to unpick yes in in tremendous detail but I guess we

maybe should start setting the scene what it's it's a difficult question I don't know if I have an answer to this yet, but what is season 11 about in aggregate?
