Mike, you just got back from a Fort Worth ISD district ballgame. So we're needing to pivot from the recruiting brain to the team brain.

Let's talk some Texas Longhorns football bouncing back from the Texas Tech loss and

heading into a home conference game against the West Virginia Mountaineers.

Let me tell you, before we get to that, there are a lot of people out here.

It's a common trope among recruiting parents and coaches sometimes that like, oh, these guys

only go where the five stars are. They don't care about. Listen, there were no five stars on that

field tonight. There were no stars on the field tonight. We got back to our roots. We found some players.

It was a lot of fun.

So I am ready to talk some team, though.

I feel like basically since that tech game ended, I've been waiting to like unpack it.

And this is kind of our first formal opportunity to do so.

It's nice for us on talking Texas because we do get a full week to make sure that everything

we have following a game is coherent.

We're not, I mean, because honestly, if I had to get takes off on Sunday, I think they'd be

a lot more emotional and less, I guess, factual or, you know, based on how the actual

game went. I don't know how you feel, based on how the actual game went.

I don't know how you feel about that.

A little more half-based, maybe.

Exactly. Also, I don't know.

It's, I mean, I say that, but also sometimes you watch, you watch, you know, missed assignments on the defensive side of the ball enough.
