Welcome back to another episode of On the Line.

Today's guest is potentially the most stylish guest we've ever

had on the show, Brittany Bathgate. Welcome, Brittany. Thank you. Thank you for having me. This is your

first podcast. Yes, I am a podcast virgin. Oh, girl. Okay, well, I'll go easy on you. I almost don't even

know where to start because as soon as you walked in, I just had so many fashion questions for you. I can see your eyes just like scanning me up and down. I was like, oh God, here we go. Because I was literally just like perfect top, perfect trousers, perfect shoes, perfect coat, perfect bag. How does that feel? I mean, it's, oh, I don't know. I don't see it like that. I feel like I just got dressed this morning. Yeah, you woke up like this. And actually, I mean, I know people can't see, but I think what I'm wearing today is really boring. I've just got a black turtleneck on and some black trousers because I thought, oh, I'm just doing the podcast like it doesn't matter. But obviously, to you, you're like, ooh. I'm like, wow, like she's looking great. Well, anyway, let's back it up before we actually get deep into the fashion questions. How do you actually introduce yourself? Are you just like a professional, cool, stylish person or what? Because you weren't always an Instagrammer, were you?

I'll backtrack and sort of start from the beginning.

I have worked in retail for, gosh, ever since I graduated, which was years ago.

God, it's probably like six years ago now.

I think just like most people just started using Instagram when it started,

which was again ages ago. And then I went travelling, came back and I was very, very bored.

And then one day I just started taking pictures of myself in my mirror.

Yeah. I'm posting it on Instagram.

I mean, it just snowballed.

It just got, it became this really big thing.

And then about a year ago, I quit my job in retail.

And yeah, became full-time Instagramer slash blogger slash online person, I guess.

Right.

And what were you studying at school at university?

Oh, so I did a course called Visual Studies at an art school, which was, it's really hard to explain if you're not into art.

But it was all about like, it was basically like concept about conceptual art and talking about concepts behind work as opposed to work, it sounds really,
