Summary

Rapha presents Talking Luft! Holly Harris is an Australian Mountain Bike and Gravel racer, who I paired up with last week at the Reef to Reef MTB epic. I thought, what better way to get to know her than going straight for the hard hittingTalking Luft questions – style, rituals, training, bikes, and of course, beverages. Naturally, we chat all things MTB and I hear about her favourite MTB and gravel trails around Armadale, we discuss the step up to 29 inch rim mountain bikes from 26, first cycling kits, social rides vs. hour of power, hunting QOMs, cycling heroes and a whole lot more.  This was a good laugh, I hope you enjoy the chat. and I was like, oh no, this is going to get, like, no groomed mountain bike trails anymore. Like, this is going to get hairy. Like, and when I was literally going down a fire raid and you're in the bush next week on the same speed, and I'm not sure that you had your hand on your handlebars. I was like, oh my goodness, this is going to be a very long four days,

especially when you've got a broken arm and a neck. But after that, I was actually very surprised. Like, you actually handle the bike pretty well. And now I'm even more surprised because you tell me I was going too slow down the bump track. You were going slow down there. I was cramping and I was worried for you.

1:12.3

I didn't want you to be like, I have to keep up with Holly and then crash.

1:15.0

And then I'll be like, oh, you want toxic masculinity all over this.

1:19.6

I was like, oh, I guess I'll to reef, the mountain bike stage race up in Cairns, north of Australia. And I did in the mixed pairs. I did it with Holly Harris. A really great experience and I try to capture what that week was like, our workings together, but also the atmosphere around the race, the different people out there, but mainly the story about the mixed pairs, because it was such a cool event. Now I've got Holly Harris on Talking Luft. I hope you enjoyed her last week because we've got a talking

You've heard me talk about the RCC, the Raffer's Cycling Club before on the podcast, an amazing idea with

2:18.9

a purpose to inspire the world to live life by bike. Riding a bike is one of life's simple pleasures.

2:25.9

It's a freedom to go wherever you want, whenever you want. The RCC is a global community

where people are just passionate about cycling. And the best part is it's for everyone, all kinds of levels of cycling.

2:37.1

Anyone can join the RCC, and they're going to get included on their adventures,

2:41.1

and actually just that community is something that I've noticed the most myself.

Well, coming up in October is the RCC's summon in Bentonville.

Now, Bentonville is one of the most exciting new cycling destinations.
