performer, magician, traveler and teacher. She joins us today to talk about Islamic

No, totally, totally. Well, first time guest, traditional first time guest, first question, were you a weird kid?

Quite the question.

Both yes and no.

I mean, I was definitely a weird kid, but I also had kind of a strange, weird, unconventional upbringing as well.

So a lot of the weirdness as a kid seems to be by circumstance.

And I feel like I got, I definitely got weirder as I got older.

But yeah, I got older. But yeah I was born to parents in Los Angeles.

My dad is from Pakistan and my mom is Egyptian and I was raised within the Muslim community very very sheltered

upbringing. I went to private Muslim school from age to all the way until

eighth grade and Muslim school

based on the Muslim school from age to all the way until 8th grade.

And my mom also worked at the mosque and at the school based at the mosque.
