This week I am extremely excited to welcome to the show the author of one of my very favorite books ever, Tyson Yanker Porter. Tyson is also a poet, an artist, a woodcarver, a linguist, and is senior lecturer in indigenous

knowledges at Deacon University.

He is the author of Sand Talk, How Indigenous Thinking Can Save the World, which if you are a

regular listener or a premium member you will know I have mentioned this book

dozens and dozens of times. I have recommended it even more. I have literally pressed it into a few people's hands. I've bought it as gifts and so on. So I had a fantastic time with this chat. We talk about ceremony, metaphor, the pitfalls of the new age,

we talk about right relation, all that good stuff. We also talk about communicating by

body odor, getting fat, 80s movies, we were all over the glorious map with this one so it's great

stuff and this was recorded as a video conversation so if you'd prefer to watch

it rather than simply listen that's

available and and for once the guest was in the same time zone and it was a

bright sunny afternoon when we recorded which means Tyson's basically a cartoon outline of a

person in a dark room because he's pulled the curtains and I'm getting blasted in the

face with the sun. So it's not exactly appointment television but it is its own kind of fun.
