But today I'm going to repost my discussion from two years ago with the creator of the

Final Destination franchise Jeffrey Reddick. This is the man who came up with the initial conceit

for the first movie and is therefore responsible for this entire franchise existing.

Now, this conversation was recorded in 2023 before we knew for definite any of the details

about Final Destination Bloodlines. But it's a really fun discussion, so I just wanted to share

it with everybody again ahead of the new movie. So please enjoy my conversation with the creator of Final Destination, Jeffrey Reddick.

In death, there are no accidents, no coincidences, no mishaps, and no escapes.

She has to realize that we're all just a mouse that a cat has by the tail.

Every single move we make from the mundane to the monumental, the red light that we stop at or run,

the people we have sex with or won't with us. The airplanes that we ride or walk out of. It's all part of death's sadistic design leading to the grave. Design. Does that mean

if you figure out the design you can cheat death?
