0:42.1	and legitimacy, was front and center in the news.
0:46.0	Most notably on Wednesday, federal law enforcement officers served a search warrant on former United
0:52.1	States Attorney New York Mayor and Trump personal attorney Rudy Giuliani.
0:57.7	It was the same action prosecutors from the Southern District of New York had twice
1:01.8	tried to undertake in the waiting months of the Trump presidency only to be rebuffed by
1:08.1	senior officials at main justice.
1:10.9	Significantly, new Attorney General, Merrick Garland did not give the White House any
1:16.0	advance warning of the action against Giuliani.
1:20.1	The chief focus of the investigation is conduct that Giuliani undertook in virtual playing
1:25.3	view in the Ukraine, which was at the center of the first impeachment of President Trump.
1:31.1	Giuliani acted as a roving free agent, taking control of American foreign policy, and
1:36.8	attempting to strong arm Ukrainian President Zelensky into announcing an investigation of
1:42.7	Hunter Biden in return for freeing up already appropriated military aid that Ukraine desperately
