The MOST asked question we get is what kind of boots do I wear....The answer is Crispi! So, we asked Lars from Crispi to join us for a poscast to chat about the new models they have coming out as well as some changes to their standbys.

Joining us on today's podcast, we got Lars Anderson from over at Krispy Boots. One of the most asked questions that I get on Instagram is what kind of boots I wear. And for the last five seasons, it's been Krispy. And it's all because of this guy right here. He bought the first pair of Krispies I'd ever seen. I'd never even heard of him before. Same thing with Boss shotgun shells, actually, for that matter. But just rides my coat tails. that's all he does it's right it's nice to have a gear junkie in the group west is a bit of a gear junkie and when he gets something uh he gets really excited about it and then after a couple months and he doesn't ever use it again but with crispies and boss he stuck with it so lars we're going to talk a lot about your guys's boots but you're a pretty big bird hunter, and you live over there in a good part of the world for bird hunting. Why don't you kind of tell everybody a little bit about where you're at, where Crispy is located at, and talk a little bit about how you got working for Krispy, and then we'll talk about the boots, then we'll get into some bird hunting. Yeah, so I live just south of Salt Lake City, Utah, so we don't have a lot of the prairie birds, but the birds were primarily chasing as Chuckers, Hans, and every once in a while we'll go get up into the prairie country and go chase some sharpies and some sage grouse up in Wyoming. You guys got some pretty good blue grouse hunting not very far from where you're at too, right? Yep, yep. We've got quite a few blue grouse. I've never really been super into blues. Oh, dude, there's so much fun. And you got tarmigan right there in the corner right there. We've got tarmigan as well up in the UNAs. But I'm more of a covey bird type of guy.

2:35.0

Sure. I get that. I don't know what it is about it, but that's what really gets my goat. Yeah. Yeah. I was talking to Callahan last week when I did a podcast with him, and he kind of said the same thing. He's like, ah, blues or whatever. Like, the one thing that we both agreed on is that

2:50.9

blue grouse are so good to eat that it's the one bird that I will absolutely road hunt and not feel bad about it one bit. Like, when I go hunting bluegrass, I want to kill a little bit of blue grouse because I like eating those suckers. But, you know, until two years ago when I started hunting Nevada, I didn't realize how many huns there were in Nevada.

3:08.4

Do you guys got a good population of hunts in Utah as well?

3:11.1

We don't really. until two years ago when I started hunting Nevada, I didn't realize how many huns there were in

3:07.9

Nevada. Do you guys got a good population of hunts in Utah as well? We don't really have a ton of

3:12.3

huns in Utah. We do in northern Utah, but we most, like, I pretty much go hunt in all the

3:19.4

surrounding states except for sure. Sure. That's where we find most of the hs up in Idaho and Nevada I gotcha I got

3:26.6

you so how long have you worked for Krispy so I've been here for almost five years

3:30.7

now okay just coming up on five years so I first started at Krispy I was actually

3:36.4

working at a mattress company because I could work three days a week there and then four days.

3:43.6

So then I said that's not what I wanted to do and decided to get into the hunting industry.

3:47.6

And I actually applied for Black Ovis, which is kind of the old sister company to Crispy.

3:53.6

And then they already filled that position and then they asked me if I was

3:57.5

interested in coming to Krispy so started on at Krispy just doing normal

4:02.1

customer service and then now I'm managing customer service team doing a little

4:06.7

bit of dealer relations stuff entering orders and then in charge all those

4:10.7

trade shows and then one really cool thing about crispy is all of us kind of

4:14.9

have a say in what goes on in the boots and like we have we designed the boots here in north
