favorite podcasts, Bad Gays, which is a show that looks at a different bad or evil gay in history. Hugh joins us today to talk about the importance of history and how

ideas like homosexuality have changed over time. Enjoy.

Thank you for having me. Well, yes, except we aren't.

Well, we weren't supposed to be doing this over Zoom.

This was supposed to be an in-person discussion, but I think that's maybe where we should start.

How are things, you know? Tell people where you are and what it's been like.

I live in Barcelona, in Catalonia and it's been quite intense here.

It's one of the worst hot spots I think in a moment second only to Lombardy for the increasing death rate for example

It's doubling every two days. So yeah the virus has hit quite hard and we've gone into an even stricter lockdown, so for the last three or four weeks I have only been allowed out the house to go to the supermarket.

So I've been out, I think, three or four times in the last month and yeah it's

started to have a bit of an effect in terms of cabin fever but I'm also

trying to get myself into a sort of daily rhythm and other than

that I think it's quite hard on other people in the
