on here her name is Nikki and I am going to read your message. Good morning Nikki. Good

morning Lindsay. So this is message that you sent. My name is Nikki. I am 30 years old

and from Memphis Tennessee. I currently reside in a rural area outside of Memphis with

my husband and daughter. I was born and raised in Memphis by my mother. She was a young

mom. I have never met my biological father. Never heard from him until the night before

I graduated high school and that conversation validated that I'm better off without

him. My mom remarried when I was about four and her then husband adopted me so I would

have his last name. He was who I call dad growing up. He was abusive in every definition of

the word. He was a drug addict, an alcoholic, a pedophile, a sex addict and a covert narcissist.

I used to beg God to give me a repressed memory so that I could forget some of the things

that I have seen, heard and gone through as a child. I think this topic could be interesting

to explore since we live in a society that I feel often confused what true abuse and assault

is with consent. Also the age it can affect you as an adult in your parenting. Hopefully
