Her extensive research and knowledge of court documents and forensic is paired with

an awesome ability to

debate. She's a master of persuasion, a bundle of enthusiasm, and my favorite person to talk

group crime with. Welcome, Meredith. Thank you so much. It's a pleasure to be here. So today we're

going to talk about the Michael Peterson case and the new episodes

that have recently gone up on Netflix. But before we talk about that, can you tell me a little

bit about yourself? Yes. You know, when I was probably in my late teens, early 20s, I got a strong interest in the criminal justice system.

And then as I got older, I focused and had a lot of enjoyment from learning about true crime cases.

And I think that since the genre was, I think, really pushed in the last probably five, ten years.

You know, they have great high production documentaries out, and it's always very interesting to watch them and realize

shortly after how badly you were manipulated. And I always enjoy that because, you know,

we all get bamboozled, and it's fun to see how badly we were.

So your first experience with that was when you watched Making a Murder, you felt that Stephen Avery, there might have been some shenanigans.
