What is up? Welcome to Talking Ball, a very somber, bittersweet episode of Talking Ball.

Not really even an episode. Um, wanted to let you guys know, obviously, maybe not too big

of a surprise after no episode here for the past week, but going to be putting Talking

Ball on pause for the foreseeable future. Just some peak behind the curtain here, how kind

of this came about. Uh, go all the way back to May when Austin Gale, former tailgate,

co-host of mine, left PFF. Uh, I decided fairly early on in the summer that I didn't want

to just replace him. You know, he's one of my best friends, the kind of dynamic we had. Uh,

wasn't going to just replace him with another co-host and try to keep, uh, the same thing

going that it just wasn't going to be what I wanted. So I decided on a solo pod getting

Quinn involved very early on in the process and how we were going to go about it. My initial

concept, though, was more of a daily show of every day you wanted to break down the stories

from PFF stories from around the NFL, almost like a daily radio show because, you know,

I grew up listening to Jim Rome, Dan Patrick, you know, a massive sports fan. I always

idolized guys like that, always kind of dreamed of doing something like that when I was older.

Um, and so this was kind of like something like that is what I wanted to do. But after

talks with George Sheherry over the summer talks with Trevor Sikima over the summer, that

concept of the daily sort of podcast evolved into an actual daily show that now runs on the

PFF YouTube channel called It's Just Football. But that got decided on that green lighted,

it's just football very late in the summer. And by the time that happened, I was already

committed to the creative process is already gone into talking ball. And so we pivoted kind

of the concept to two days a week, obviously getting Quinn on the mic's been awesome. He's
