We are hurtling towards the end of the year, and that means that there's a very important

birthday coming up, and I'm not talking about mine.

Of course, it's coming upon Christmas.

Now, I love Christmas.

It's one of my favorite times of year.

I love the family togetherness, the parties, the food, gift exchanges, decorations, everything about it.

The caroling, it's all fantastic.

It's, you might even call it magical as a time of the year.

But I'm an atheist.

I don't believe that Jesus was divine.

I mean, a lot of people in my position don't even believe he existed at all.

To us, the nativity is at best, a cute legend that is played out by middle schoolers in bathrobes and fake beards.

So, should we atheists, we heathens, be even allowed to celebrate Christmas or call it Christmas?

Are we, by our very nature, attacking Christmas to take it and make it secular?

So if you, be you a believer, or even another atheist, think that we should not celebrate this

particular birthday and have our gatherings and festive joy, then you should call us, because the show's

starting now.
