What is faith? Well, according to Hebrews 111, faith is the substance of things hoped for,

the evidence for that unseen. And then the book goes on to list Bible figures that were rewarded

for their faith. And yet we have concepts like a crisis of faith, needing to renew or refresh

faith, to fail in faith. And it seems kind of high maintenance,

an unreliable way of seeking truth. Now, I seek truth through skepticism and critical thinking,

rational thought. I've never had a crisis of skepticism. I've never really needed to renew

my rationalism or whenever my reason is tested, it's through

empiricism. It's a self-correcting set of systems that only ever improves with use.

So I say to you, O believer, if you are watching, I bet you 10 times out of 10 that my reason,

my skepticism, will beat your faith when it comes to seeking

truth. And if you disagree, then you should call us because the show starts now.
