Talk Heathen is a product of the ACA, a nonprofit, I'm sorry, 501C3 nonprofit organization dedicated to the promotion of positive atheism, the separation of religion and government.

I am, you know, I feel kind of bad, Kenneth, because I'm going to introduce you, but I'm also going to be saying for the first time instead of like scrolling up on Facebook and just liking something. But you are a married man now.

I yeah yeah I did that this is my first time actually congratulating so I feel like a terrible friend that I that we're doing this now for the first time live but it's it's definitely a step up from like just liking a status on Facebook I feel like I mean you know it's, I feel like it's the same thing. I'm so bad about going like and making that extra step. I'm always just like, click, that's enough. You know, so I appreciate it. Yes. Before the show, I was talking about how I listened about half percent of the time, and I probably acknowledge things that I should about the same. And so I'm working on that. We're building, we're building to be a better person. Yeah, with my friends, I'm always just like, they know, they know how I feel. So it's like, I'm just eating Ben and Jerry's ice cream looking like, what's someone going to find me? You know? Anyway, guys, we have a good, great show. We have some callers on the line already. And Kenneth, yeah, I mean, is anything you kind of want to, anything different as a married man or you know, my, my partner and I, we mean, we've been together for years and years and years. So yeah, we were talking about this afterwards, you know, where it didn't, didn't feel different. Mostly, I mean, it's the same. We're just not living in sin anymore.

So, yeah, exactly.

Yeah, now everything can be done properly. And then those. Yeah. Well, I think we were nervous about the wedding a little bit because like our, our readings were completely secular and like a little bit unconventional. We were wondering if it would resonate with people, if anybody would notice the absence of any mentions of a God or scripture in the wedding. And everyone just had a great time. Nobody, you know, nobody cared. I was actually going to ask, so not a single person was like, hey, where's the part? Like, usually there's a God and stuff like that. Yeah. Not a thing. Nobody was like, where was Jesus? Not at nothing. So yeah,

they just wanted to, you know, eat the hors d'oeuvres. And that's interesting because like,

and I'm not going to pick names, but the last wedding that I went to, and maybe this is just my atheism,

you know, some people would say getting the better of me. But all I could notice through most of it was like I was like, when are they going to talk about my friend and his wife and this good life as opposed to like this God that nobody knows exists? Like that took up the entire like the entire time. I was like, is God getting married or is my friend getting married? Yeah. I don't understand here. Yeah. So I'd be very interested to see that. We even did a reading that was about like where where the line, the one is a lie, the one does not exist was in the reading. And we wanted to break down this idea and go, listen, this isn't some fantasy land fairy tale shit. This isn't us destined to be together. We're two adults making a commitment. And we're going to change.

We're going to grow because that's what happens in the real world.

But that's what we're signing up for today.

And we, yeah.

So getting all of the nonsense out of it was something that was very important to us.

And we felt like we succeeded.
