Summary

To celebrate the fiftieth episode of Talk Easy we decided to do something a little different, which ended up being Sam sitting down with his mother for an interview. This episode is not only special for how far the show has come, but the glimpse it gives us into the lives of both Sam and his mother. The love and respect that Sam and his mom have for one another is blatant throughout the entirety of this episode, and we feel lucky to have caught it on tape. 0:48.0	podcast has ever produced. Today on the show is Long Talk with my mother Teresa Myers and we did this back in
0:59.2	April of 2017 when the podcast was turning 50.
1:05.0	So to celebrate the 50th episode,
1:08.0	you know, we had considered having
1:10.0	all kinds of different people on and the more I considered what would be
1:16.0	special and a little bit different the more it became apparent that having
1:21.6	my parents on for episode 50 and episode 100 would really be the
1:27.4	thing to do.
1:28.4	So for the 50th episode I went up north to visit my mom what happened is this this
1:36.4	is this is a talk this is the talk we had I visited her for like I think three or
1:41.4	four days each day we plan to do it and of course both of us put off sitting
1:50.3	down in front of microphones until the morning before I had to leave.
1:56.8	And so I think we did this at like 9 a.m. because I had to leave at noon.
2:01.9	And yeah, there's some trepidation in the beginning there's some
2:06.2	nerves it was an episode that I was extremely anxious to do and I can only imagine how anxious my mother was to do it.
2:18.8	Nevertheless, we did do it and in the aftermath of this episode I think both of us were thinking Jesus
2:26.1	who is going to want to listen to a podcast where really a mother and son just
2:32.0	talk about themselves.
