Tree branches are creaking, tapping one against the other, but in here.

Ah, in here, it is warm, it is cozy, the light flickers, and there is a scent of apples,

cinnamon again, and, well, I wish there were the crackle of burning logs and a smell of pine, but alas, we'd have to go up another flight of stairs and visit our neighbors if we wanted

to sit by the hear our tales told by firelight. Alas. At any rate, welcome. I'm Lawrence Santoro, and welcome to

The Nook, to Tales to Terrify. Welcome to the Friday before Thanksgiving. We'll have a rather

busy time tonight, so I won't say very much. Two short tales, one cold and one chilly. We'll take a walk with Mike Allen as he takes

us on his tenth tour of the abattoir. A solo outing for Mike this month with his fellow

abattoirista Shallen Hurlbert taking some time off, and we will have our first ever interview with an author.
