Alan is an old friend. He was already a hot number in horror and dark fantasy art when I

attended my first world horror convention.

I think he was the artist, guest of honor at that time. And I was amazed when he stopped by to

hear me read my story, little girl down the way. After the reading, he told me he liked it and said

his wife, Melody, would probably be moved by it.
